SERIES WAMC - WAMS
SELF PRIMING CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS SERIES WAMC – WAMS

The vacuum assisted self-priming pumps from the series "WAMC" and "WAMS" were produced to be used in a continuous way for long periods. Especially built to be used for wellpoint installations but also for opening drainage, they are available in version with 60-3 " to 300 mm-12 " suction and outlet ports, and with a flow rate from 60 to 25.000 liters/minute. Their fundamental characteristic is the coupling of an air depressor, in parallel and by means of transmission belts, which allow to maintain continuous prime. Moulded with high-strength mechanical cast iron, steel rotor, blades in Fero-form, lubrication by oil aspiration in closed circuit, available in versions from 60 to 120 m3/h capacity.

In the hydraulic part, the particular shape of the open rotor allows the passage of the solids, while the wearing plate assembled in the pump cylinder prevents its wear.

In the standard version, the wearing plate, the rotor, the drain valve, the separator and the pump cylinder are moulded of high-strength mechanical engineering cast iron, while in special realization it is possible to mould on request metals such as treated aluminium, bronze marine, stainless steel etc. Float valve moulded in aluminium with closing components in nitrile rubber or in Viton on request, seats and moving parts in bronze or in special alloys on request. The mechanical joint is of widia-widia type, completely maintenance free, and is assembled directly on the pump shaft, this latter being made of carbon steel in standard version, while in special realization the pump shaft is made of stainless steel. The coupling can be carried out by direct flanging to the bell covering the motor’s flywheel from the series WAMC, or by means of a cast iron support which contains the pump shaft supported by two oil-lubricated bearings. In this last case, the coupling is carried out by means of an elastic joint series WAMS.

The assembly is carried out on strong metal supports, available with or without pneumatic wheels, balanced sling for lifting and lever for displacements. For diesel or petrol versions, the tanks are built to guarantee an 8 hour minimal range at maximum loads. The lubricating oil tank of the depressor is integrated to the fuel tank, or is independent for the electric version.

The coupling can be carried out with an electric or diesel motor, and, moreover, sound-insulating cabins for decreasing noise level can be provided on request for the endothermic motors for special series.
